My t-8 kicker won't go slower than 1.5 without using drift sock for resistance. I was told there is a trolling prop I could buy to slow it down. Does anyone have any info where I can find this prop and what the name of it is?

Herb,

What type of T-8 do you have? a remote throttle or a tiller? you should be able to go .9-1.2.

If it's the standard, big white prop, that should easily troll less than you are getting now on that boat. We are talking light winds, correct? Perhaps the low speed idle is set too high? Perhaps get it to your dealer and they could put a tach on it and adjust it down? You could also do this, but be careful going to low, as there is a minimum RPM to get the oil pump working.

In a few instances, we had to have the prop's diameter reduced at a prop shop But that was rare.

Do you have a true T-8 or an 8HP ? Dosen`t like a a true T-8 since you mention changing prop to slow down. The standard prop on a T-8 is 10X5 high thrust.
