It's Mission Impossible time...

Our morning interviews were lost to a self destructing tape!

The morning dawned with light mist in the air and a brisk NW wind. Temps are in the 50's headed to clearing skies and 67 degrees for a high.

Day One Leader Dan Stier is confident in his bite holding, and was ready to get after it. He wasn't too concerned about the weather change, and feels if the fish hold, he'll bring in a good weight.

Local Guide and Pro John Giuliani is anchoring up on his spots and Lindy rigging very slowly, so the wind doesn't effect his technique much at all except for the fish holding on certain areas depending on direction and wind speed. He felt the NW winds will actually help his bite, and was confident his fish will be there if the weather holds and he can keep his spots.

Gary Parsons is pulling cranks over the weeds and along the edges, and also felt the winds wouldn't effect much today. His concern was the number of fish available and whether the bite would die off from sheer numbers caught and the pressure on the fish in general. His technique involves covering a very small area thoroughly, after finding a school of fish. "You have to find them first!" he said.

The winds are forecast to hit 15, and were all of that this morning. Skies are to clear up, and the winds are supposed to taper off a bit. All the Pros said they NEED wind here, as calmer conditions might kill the bite.

Tomorrow's weather looks like rain.

Watch for the Live Video stream to begin from the weigh in site this afternoon at about 3 PM central time.

Stacker, I said the same thing this morning; "Now THERE is a pair to draw to!"

Winds are NW at 15 at noon in Sault Ste. Marie. Skies are beginning to clear up a little, and tems are in the high 50's. Should be a good bite today!

To watch the live video feed from the PWT this afternoon beginning at about 3 PM central time, make sure to click the link on the front page. We are linking to the PWT Leaderboard for this event, teaming up with Julie, Chip, and the PWT to bring you this event while covering the FLW Walleye League Championship at the same time.

The bite held pretty well for most of the Pros today as the winds did a complete 180 from yesterday and dropped off by a third in velocity. Most of the field came in dry today, a marked difference from yesterday's weigh in.

Dan Stier pulled out ahead of John Giuliani 44.25# to 39.67#. Both seemed pretty confident the bite would hold through tomorrow, and both said they were just 'going fishing' tomorrow with the intent of finding and catching 5 fish.

Jason Doyon is JUST behind Giuliani at 39.61#, and Mike Gofron made a move into fourth with a great basket today and a total weight of 38.34#. John thelen moved into 5th, Gary Parsons holds down 6th, Dave Van Oss moved up to 7th, dean Nathe brought in over 18# to move into 8th, Dave Truett is in 9th, and rounding out the top ten is Jim Carroll.

Tomorrow looks like rain and light winds out of the ESE. The Pros all said wind is needed, so it's hoped the forecast is a little light in the wind velocity department.

Watch for the Day two PM image gallery, and video to be up soon, and sty with walleyeFIRST for dual coverage of the Sualt Ste. Marie PWT and the FLW League Championship!
