Subject: FLW Walleye Championship, Day Two

Location: Rhinelander
Cool temps and clear skies after a pre-dawn thunderstorm moved by to the South made for upbeat predictions of a better bite today, especially in light of the forecast temps in the 80 degree range by this afternoon. The Pros are hoping the water will warm a couple degrees, accelerating the bite especially in the shallower water.

The river fell another 8" last night, so navigating the sand bars will be a greater challenge. The field left at 8 AM today, and everyone seemed fired up and ready to go.

Bret King is looking to put his 5 fish in the livewell, shooting for somewhere between 13 and 18 pounds to make the cut. The weights zero as of tomorrow, so it's a new event once a Pro makes that cut. Ron Seelhoff also spoke of staying consistent and putting a good limit in the boat shooting for the top ten.

Mark Michael was definitely fired up this morning, heading out in 5th and happy to be in that position as an FLW Walleye League qualifier fishing the Big Show. He stated he felt he needs 15 pounds to guarantee a spot in the top ten.

Ted Takasaki was also upbeat, and looking for a solid limit from his spots, hoping for 14 to 18 pounds to cement his position, and guarantee a shot at the big Win and the Toyota Walleye Angler rewards check for $3000.00.
