the tournament was reduced to 1 day for safety reasons....lol

Anyway, in reality....Barto landing is underwater again, Boat Club is truly a Boat-in Club.....and it is supposed to crest about 1 foot below the record mark hit during the last 500 year storm event....in September of 2008.

I dont think you will see that again from the MWC, or any trail again. Granted I will agree that that tourney should have cancelled and another date made. I was NEVER mad that I didnt catch a fish that day , it`s just a good thing that the wind didnt blow and nobody got hurt,,,, just equiptment. I think that it was alot worst from a WAT tourney a few years earlier when a wall of wind hit the river UNEXPECTED 1 hour after takeoff and had 6' rollers going with that same crap in the river. But understand this, nobody knew it was comming. The difference is the MWC knew what was comming and should have addressed it differently. Thats my 2 cents. Oh well thats history, the brothers (micky/marty) caught the winning fish, and life goes on.

Mark, just drop the boat off the top of the interstate bridge, park your truck and hop on a floating cow to your boat. Quit making it more complicated then it is;)

Sounds like a Chuck Norris move!!!!!! Just one exception,he swings from a rope from the SV bridge, doz a 11/2 gainer and lands on a barge, then catches up with the boat drifting down stream. Jumps in and dodges trees untill he gets to the 39 bridge, catches a 3.5 sauger and wins the tournament. WWWOOOWWW!!! Would that be cool or what. Come on hollywood.

slip bobber bite was excellent last night after the sun went down. Middle of the channel, about 3 feet down.

Lifted the bow mount out of the water and just used the outboard to hold position.

It dont take a scholar or a genius to figure out not to have a tournament in these conditions.
