Location: Orland Park, IL | Was out this weekend. Damn its cold, but very driveable from the ease side outta pipe. Fish calumet reef from 9 FOW to 13FOW both Friday and Saturday later afternoon. Probably about 2 to 7 or so. Caught perch, small walleye and small mouth. (Fun watching the smallie scream up two feet on the vex to give it another whack. Got em that time.
Lots of moving, thought last 1.5 hours or so, was on the spot I want to be in. (Saddle off parsons dads house). Figured nice highway from the reef side to deep water. Was fun to get out. High pressure was worrysome, but they did bite and very lightly and not very often. Good crowd off fishermans about 2 miles out, quinney at 2 miles out, and calumet about 3 miles.
Had the cajun crawfisha and mahi mahi in dark mushroom wine sauce, along with a couple cal brew co pints. Pretty fancy for the east side if you ask me, but none the less tastee.
Bowling is Feb 21, not 22 as I mentioned. 2 bands, grill, big tent, 4 person teams. |
