Location: Oshkosh, WI | I have been thinking about trying some night ice fishing on Winnebago because I have been hearing a few promising reports. Just looking for some general principles to get me started - presentations? I saw someone post about using some type of glow deal up above their bait? buckshot or just rap/minnow head? General location principles - near reefs? up on a reef? fow?
any thoughts general or specific would be appreciated. |

| I used to ice fish Bago alot, but never after dark. Every once in a while we would start early before sunrise, and would start on the reefs, and work our way to deeper water as the sun came up. Sorry I can't be of more help. |

Location: Oshkosh, WI | With my work schedule and the crappy weekend weather coming, I went out Thursday evening off of the Winn Cty boat landing hoping to get on the outside of the reefs west of garlic or long pt. However, you can't get across the shove, so I set up inside the reef in 9-10 fow. Fished 4-8pm, caught a lawyer and a 4" walleye. Marked very few fish. I am thinking deeper water side of the reefs would be a better idea next time.

Location: Orland Park, IL | Deeper mud offa reefs should be decent I imagine. I make the habit of fishing on the deeper side of the reef. I think its my brain conditioned by the Pipe Express chicken, and where I usually fish open water.
Took some advice though and am trying to find the movements from 4 to 7pm. I figure if I can find some movement, I can try to duplicate more easily.

Location: Oshkosh, WI | I got out last night 3:00 to a bit after dark. I crossed the shove just north of garlic island - there were other tracks crossing, so I went for it - very smooth, no problem.
I setup on the outside of a hump north of garlic - not the reefs that get really shallow straight east, but north and east. It is a small hump that goes up to 8'. I worked from 12 to 18 fow with my tip ups and jigging. Caught one whitebass. did not mark any fish except in my shallowest hole and there not very many except the one I caught. I never made it to the top of the hump.
I am thinking of going back to the herd in the middle of the lake

Location: Omro,Wi. | Try fishing to the outside of the herd. Walleyes herd like cows when the traffic starts...lol
P.S. A line or two 6' under the ice might help. But I didn't tell you!

| Joe if you get a opportunity i would work the oshkosh area by the mouth. shallow areas where is a slight current.  |
