Member Posts: 87 Location: Neenah, WI | Went up there last Friday, caught 12 from 17" - 22.5" in about 7 hours. Anchored, working jigs on current break, 7 - 15 fow. Best presentation was 1/16 oz chartruse jig with a Gulp shiner. Will be packed up there this weekend.

Member Posts: 56 | Took a ride to DePere yesterday, I was wrong, it looked to be packed, if I wasn't such a fair weather fisherman I would have been out there with the rest of them

Member Posts: 1406 | Scott, yesterday was not crowded at all maybe a 150 boats been a lot worse. We caught numerous 6-8 pounders and went back this morn to see an empty boat landing. 8 boats on the river today, cold, windy and snow....again numerous 6-8 pounders and another 45+ Musky. All the die hards must have died! Good Luck Tyee

Member Posts: 60 Location: Neenah, WI | Fished this a.m. 5:30 - noon. Water temp. barely made it to 40 degrees. Boated a few casting cranks early, biggest was 27.5", only two other boats by the lines! Got bored w/ that and went vert. jigging the breaks around by the park. The females were hungry; boated several 24" - 26" fatties, one was spawned out. Probably only caught six males all morning. There was only eight boats on the river when we left. Didn't need stingers, the fish were just pounding the jigs! Good Luck.

Member Posts: 132 | Caught a few myself today, in the shallows near the drop off, casting and jigging Berkley alive minnows on a 1/4-oz. jig. Never thought the artificial baits would be so productive. Hands stayed warm not having to rebait minnows all the time. Never did get to jig the deep water. Locator wasn't marking much fish there. The water was both 41 degrees on my locator and thermometer. One female was spawned out and the rest were males. If only the wind was warmer. ![]()
