Surprised not see chatter here.

I can't wait. Northern MN walleyes.

Got a deadly setup concocted for shallow water eyes.

Basically a lindy rig/bottom bouncerbut the difference is instead of a swivel, I am using a small split ring. 3 foot leader.

Line twist shouldn't be a problem due to the short amount of line out. With a big minnow I'm thinking my PB will be shattered. Maybe I'll post a picture of the setup.

Thoughts?

Why the split ring rather than a swivel? What advantage do you think it will provide?

A more lifelike wobble and no spinning. I bet our minnow spins pretty good with a good swivel. In ice fishing species have been spooked by spinning presentations, so I figure it should be no different in the summer.

especially when there are 30 + boats concentrated in 1 area.

is it Friday yet?

Actually I think I am confusing myself here.

Just something new to try. I've caught some of my biggest fish on modifications of the most simple setup. A hook line and sinker.
