Location: Rhinelander | That all depends on rpm averages and conditions, but I'd agree the 115 Opti is very fuel efficient and is a strong motor. |

Location: mille lacs, mn. | I would say runnng that rig(which I have on countless long distance runs in all types of water and speeds) would average about 5 miles per gallon. Even better on calm days running 3/4 throttle and as low as 2.5 miles per gallons in rough seas running half to 3/4 throttle. I'm sure there are specs out on this but that's my personal expereince. When you run the throttle all the way to max rpm's....it will be around 2.5 on nice water. Wide open in rough water you'll be dead--and out of gas. |

| You can look it up on Mercury's website under engine test's. It look's like at 5600 rpm's you should be around 9.5 gph. |

Location: mille lacs, mn. | Like I said, the specs are out there I'm sure. But I can tell ya that 5 mpg. is pretty good. At 9.5 mpg. wide-open, on a 40 mile ride each way, I'd be putting in 10 gallons at the end of the day? That would be nice but it's usually twice that on a big long ride like that. And 20 gallons a day on a long ride day like that is great compared to other engines and rigs that are bigger. Just MY experiences...

| 9.5 is gallons per hour, I believe the 115 opti was around 4 - 4.5 MPG at WOT. |

| Thank you guys. I was on Erie for 4days and used MUCH less gas than with my old glass boat. So much less my buddy who is a Yamaha tech couldn't believe it. |
