The weather is the biggest enemy of the bite today. Forecast beautiful conditions include very light winds and sun, something Ranger/Evinrude Pro Rick Olson said was the worst thing he could have for his bite. Winds are supposed to be 5 to 8 out of the NW with broken clouds and sun, allowing for just a ripple out on the water.

Chevy Pro Tom Keenan was confident in his early bite, has 11 spots to hit today, and every one produced fish for him yesterday. He didn't think the weather would be too detrimental, but his thinking with six overs for the tournament he could win, and or with four overs he'd do very well and make the cut. He caught a near perfect limit yesterday, his 'unders' were at 17.5 to just under 18", and both 'overs' at 29"

Lund Pro Ted Takasaki said he's shooting for one a day for his overs, thinking that one each day could get him into the top ten after the cut tomorrow. He said this morning one could...maybe... get him into the cut if his under 18" fish are cooperative. Ted is Lindy rigging and pulling spinners with live bait.

There's a nice breeze out there right now, so perhaps the concern over flat water will be dispelled a bit.

Chevy Pro Tom Keenan came to the scales with yet another impressive bag that included two 'over' fish giving him a day two weight of 14.69lbs and a total of 34.63lbs. Keenan said his bite remained good all day and as he said this morning; the weather wasn't going to be a factor over the next few days.

Local favorite Brian "Bro" Brosdahl was able to make up some ground on Keenan with a solid bag that weighed 16.50 lbs. Bro is one of the few Pros on a big fish bite, and with a today's weight was able to make up over a pound on Keenan to cut the lead to just over two pounds going into day three.

Another notables for day two is current third place holder Dan Stier. Stier was sitting in 30th place with a day one weight of only 11.13 lbs but really made some noise today with two monster over fish that gave him a day two weight of 18.50 lbs. and a two day weight of 29.63lbs.

Kevin Larkin also made an impressive jump to fourth place with his day two weight of 14.69 lbs. giving him a two day weight of 26.19lbs. Chris Gilman moved up with his catch of 11.38lbs. to round out the top five.
