| Spent last Sat on the waters of Lake Pepin and Pool 4, spent the day pulling lead core and crank baits, caught some nice Sauger on the can line 4 around the 18" mark and 6 more in the 15 to 17 range, did some trolling on some main lake points and we ended up with another 27+ eye and a 18" eye. Deep Little Rippers were the hot bait
I heard there is decent jig bite at the dam.
Stop and get the latest info form Dean at Everts Resort,

Location: LaCrosse, WI | The blade bait bite was hot on Saturday. We fished the tourney up there and caught no less than 30 Saugers between 14-20" long and another 12 to 15 Walleyes over 17". It was an absolute blast. I'm not sure about the second place team, but I know 3 out of the 4 top teams were fishing blades.
We had 19.68 pounds in 8 Saugers, and came in third. The guys who won had a staggering 26.6 pounds in 8 Saugers. That bite should only get better, as more of those lake fish move up. Too bad, it's so far away, or I'd be up there every weekend. |
