Has anyone tried modifying these lures...I bought 3 of these and they stink, i can't return them cause it would cost me more to ship them back than what I paid for them.

They have no action, they don't wiggle at all. Would trying to shave off any parts of the bill help out and create more wobble/wiggle in the lure? I have no experience trying to do this with cranks, any help or info on how I might be able to mod these to work would be appreciated.

Or you can just tell me to throw them away, cause that's probably going to be the next step.

I assume your talkiing about the shallow rippers. If not which model? The shallow rippers are the only ones that I used that had very little action. I will not be buying anymore of those.

Although I think the deep little rippers, rip shads, and the regular deep divers are all great baits.

Here is the product, yes, they are the smaller size.... http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.j...

I mean the action just sucks on these, it's like fishing with a spaghetti noodle...
