Ok, I'm not much one for gimmickie things and there hasn't been a lot of new products that have wowed me too much recently. BUT, that new Lindy Splash Brite bobber has to be the best product release I've seen in a long time. VERY VERY cool.

And Steve, I'm sure the weather down there just sucks compared to the Bago region. Please tell me you're going to take the time to do some fishing while you're there.

Travel safely.

Any word on the retail price point for the new Shadlings and when they'll be available?

My one knock on Lindy products is the price. I'd also be interested to see the price of the shadling. If they're going to be priced in the $7 range, I will have a hard time making myself leave my comfort cranks for them.

Thanks for the interest in our new products guys. Everyone at Lindy has worked very hard for the last year to bring the coolest and most innovative products to the market. We're just wrapping up at the show, but be sure to keep an eye out for the rest of our new products that will be featured in upcoming videos.

Great news on the Lindy Shadling - MSRP 5.99!!!!

Looks like very high quality cranks and I applaud the price as well.As fast as crank bait prices have been going up a high quality bait for that money should do real well in the market. That new cork looks pretty spot on as well. When are they do out???????

That is the coolest looking float I've seen and I can't wait to try it out. Since I've fished on Mille Lacs, I know it will be a real winner on northern lakes like that, but I spend most of my time on clearer sections of southern reservoirs, where night fishing is really hot too. Looks like I've found my new go-to float. The cranks look awesome too!

Jon:

Now I know why you were so excited about Lindy's new line-up.

I'm liking the Shadlings' color patterns, finishes, multiple sizes and RATTLES. Rattle shad baits have been hot for me the last couple seasons, but the current color patterns that are out there now are lacking. From crappies to walleye to salmon, I have several applications where I know the new Shadlings are going to excel. That bigger size is also going to fill a gap in my late summer and fall trolling spreads. Liking the price as well.

Can't wait to try the Splash Bright. Good lighted floats are tough to come by. Great idea on having them be fully functional after the battery expires. I am interested to see how heavy they are compared to a regular Lindy Center Slider Floats. That extra weight may come in handy on windy days.

Wow, two new products that hit close to home. The splash bright bobber is great for me cuz I'll only need to be tying up once with a bobber rather than one for the day and one type for night fishing. I won't have to worry about extra batteries or light sticks either.

The Lindy Shadling crankbait looks like it can be fished in many different condition types. The shad style bait, colors and smaller sizes should work well for early season pitching in the river as well as shallow trolling later in the fall. The rattles will help in low light and dingy water like that on the rivers or reseviors. I see one of the key points is "runs true out of the box". How fast can this bait be trolled? I have seen times where 2.5-3 mph isn't fast enough to catch aggressive walleyes.

I don't know about the others here, but waiting until next spring for these will be tough to do!!!

Had a great opportunity today to hit the water with Jon and troll some of the new Shadling baits.I was very impressed start to finish( the finishes on these baits are awesome) on these new baits and as for performance???????? Let`s just say they got bit often and hard. In my opinion when I am getting fish on the front hooks of the bait I am feeding them something they really want to eat and they are not just taking a swat at them.On a side note we started the day by Jon taking a Shadling out of the package, strapping it on a rod as he handed it to me and he said let me know when it blows out to the side.An astonishing 6.8 MPH later the bait finally blew to the side, so I challenge you to try the baits in your trays and find me one that can do the same.Great to see very high quality baits coming to market for a good price.

Brett beat me to it but he did try to keep the hot colors to himself! Redtail, Tullibee, Shad and Shiner were the best but a sleeper that we threw out toward the end that was pretty hot was fathead. If you would like a look at the new shadling colors visit the new Lindy website at lindyfishingtackle.com. The photos on the site lack in showing the holographic finish, the shine and the secondary color hues but they give you a good look at the primary color schemes.

I just wanted to pass along a little information about the new Thill Splash Brite. I had several guys fish the new Splash Brite on Mille Lacs for a couple weeks just to get their thoughts. First off, 30 hours is the minimum. Secondly, everyone was very happy with the balance and performance, they cast long and glow bright upon hitting the water. Once they burn out, you have a daytime float based on the Thill Pro Series that has all the quality including the brass ring in the top. Aside from the product itself, the next most exciting part is the retail price...$5.99! They will be available January 1st!
