I just purchased a 2007 Skeeter ZX2050 with a 250 hp four stroke Yamaha motor. Used the boat a few times allready this spring and I noticed the trim tab was missing. Went to the local dealership and bought a new one and now I am wondering where I should set it on the motor. Straight or to the right or left as you are looking at the motor from the back??? Any help from someone who has this same set up would be great. Thanks

If you are talking about the little tab directly above the prop that makes the boat not pull to the left or right, and you have hydraulic steering, you do not need it

As Horshak said, it's not really needed. Most motors 150 and up have no-feedback hydraulic steering. And most have props that would hit the trim tab if it were installed. Another reason why it's normally not used. Not saying you can't use it.
