| Congratulation to team of Mike Young and Tim Hass for winning $1,200 at our first event. Mike and Tim put one nice 5.98# walleye in the boat to take both first place and big fish for the event.
Thanks to the ten teams who participated in this inaugural event! Despite the river cresting during tournament hours at over 12 feet the teams ground it out to still put fish in their boats. Most teams pitched submerged wood and riprap with plastic and live bait offerings to tempt stingy 'eyes to reaction bite and get them to the net.
Final Standings:
Michael Young/ Tim Hass- 1st, 5.98# $800 + Big Fish $400 - $1,200 Total
Robert Thill/ Eric Litshiem- 2nd, 3.29# $400
Rick Bryson/ Galen Bremmer- 3rd, 2.99# $200
Scott Strangstelien/ Joel Strangstelien 4th, 2.36#
Tom Beck/ Tom Brye- 5th, 1.94#
Todd Zemke/ Scott Gadient- 6th, 1.10#
Kenny Kramer/ Larry Erickson- 7th
Phil Weigel/ Adam Woodhouse- 7th
Jarad Fluekinger/ Jeremy Scheiner- 7th
Dave Washa/ Troy Patterson- 7th
A total of 9 hard fought for walleye and sauger were caught from Ol' Muddy on Pool 5. A special thanks goes out to the many businesses and citizens of Alma for being so friendly and hospitable during our event.
Our next event is on Pool 8 & 9 launching out of Genoa, WI Power Plant Ramp on April 18th, 2010. Tourney hours will be 7am to 2:30pm. Please see the attached brochure in the previous post and send it in as over fourty spots are still available to get in and this is posed to be a good bite with much lower pool levels following the spring high water. You can also e-mail me at [email protected] for a brochure or if you have any questions.
Hope to see you in Genoa,
Dale Radcliffe- MMWS Director
