40 boats will fish today on the Illinois River at the second stop of the Eastern Division FLW Walleye Tour. If the recent MWC held there is any indication, there will be plenty of fish caught; the trick will be filtering through the huge population of smaller fish to weigh 15 pounds or better every day.

The winds look to be a challenge today according to the local forecast:
WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM THIS MORNING TO 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

REST OF TODAY - Windy - warmer. Mostly sunny. High around 80. South wind 20 to 30 mph with gusts to around 45 mph.

TONIGHT - Breezy - warmer. Partly cloudy in the evening - then mostly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after midnight. Low in the lower 60s. South wind 15 to 25 mph with gusts to around 30 mph.

FRIDAY - Breezy. Showers and thunderstorms likely. High in the mid 70s. South wind 15 to 25 mph with gusts to around 30 mph. Chance of rain 70 percent.

Reports are that director Sonny Reynolds announced the FLW will continue forward into 2011 with the Tour, answering the question of the FLW's future commitment to professional Walleye angling. OutdoorsFIRST Radio will obtain an interview with Mr. Reynolds as soon after this event as is possible, to speak with the seasoned tournament director about 2010 to date, and the Walleye Tour's direction into 2011.
