Location: Essexville, MI./Saginaw Bay. | Remember that GIANT SHAD I talked about that the brother and I caught back about a month ago? And a couple of you wanted to see the picture of it. Well, we caught another one yesterday along with 7 walleyes. The thing hit a Tommy Horton Special Long "A" bomber of all things. This is an American Gizzard Shad specie.

| Dan, Our local Fox River in Menasha below the dam is loaded with giant Shad. We snag them when we are casting for Whitebass. On rare occasion they will bite. Dominic |

Location: Essexville, MI./Saginaw Bay. | This thing faught like a Smallie on steroids. I bet it would be fun catching them on light equipment. And I guess they smoke the American Shad they catch out east and other places. I know they'd be oily enough. |

| They are indeed very oily, even after washing your hands, the smell still lingers on. The Pelicans sit in the whitewater of the spillway with their bills wide open and scoop them up as they swim by in the current. On some days, they are so thick, you can't run a line through the water without snagging one. Dominic |
