Subject: Rainy lake tackle info

I am taking my kids up to voyaguers Wednesday for a week of camping and walleye fishing. We are headed east of Brule Narrows to camp. I was hoping someone might be able to help me with some tackle suggestions. We will probably jig, Lindy rig, and slip bobber fish. Since we are camping I am thinking leeches and crawlers. To hard to keep minnows alive. What I am looking for is some good colors and jig/ rig sizes.

Any tips on additional patterns would also be welcome.

Thanks in advance,

Steve

Steve I'm assuming you will launch at the visitors center. If so stop at Rainy Lake One Stop. It is on Hwy. 11 East on your way to the launch. It will be on your right. They can and will fill you in on colors ect.
Coming out of the Narrows you may want to troll for some Pike.( Be sure to stay right and don't wonder into Canada) The boys will get fired up with some Pike strikes!!

You will have a great fishing vacation and it's a very nice trip for scenery also.
