Subject: Gilman Wins FLW Championship




Location: Rhinelander		Chris Gilman put together a 9 pound plus combination of an 'over' and an 'under' slot walleye to take the win by 1 pound 1 ounce over day three leader Terry Filkins. Chris took home a check for $40,000.00 including his Evinrude/Ranger contingencies.

Chris was using his Lowrance HDS unit to identify the rock structures on points to catch his fish. He was running and gunning today, covering lots of water on a tough bite to catch the winning walleyes. Live bait rigging and jigging were key for most of the fish caught during the event.

Terry Filkins sat in the hot seat for most of the event, and knew he might be in trouble with one fish today, although it was an 'over' weighing in at 6.09.

Location: Rhinelander		Terry was on 'em. As he said onstage, Chris is tough...it was a great weigh in. Nice job Chris and Terry, you both made it a knock down drag out to the very end. It was fun to watch that weigh in!
