just bought a 2004 ranger with a 225 evinrude ho/jack plate. Ive always ran merc and never a plate, any help with rpm and water pressure would be awsome

Do you have a water pressure gauge? Engine should be WOT in specified RPM range. Watch the pressure gauge, and you will be fine.
