![]() Member Posts: 2680 Location: Essexville, MI./Saginaw Bay. | Gathering enough of the components to build just one of the versions of my new invention I have in mind, I thought I'd share at least the preliminary pictures and ideas with you guys. And that idea was/is to create a quality Casting/Trolling Harness of sorts. Something that can be both trolled with it's own weight contained in the body of the lure and/or counted down, casted and retrieved repeatedly in shallow or deep water. With it having enough flash, sound, vibration and scent (via real or Gulp Crawlers attached) to make it an all-in-one lure. So here is the first prototype of what I'm calling Capt. Dan's "Clacker Harness". Looking at this lure and it's design, some/most will not see it's hidden functionality or the evil genius behind it's components and design. That's because half of what it does is hidden until you actually cast and retrieve it. And the components I used to make it are the key. After I finish the whole design line and the different colors and blade combinations I plan on building, I'll explain and share the whole process and ordering information for these special components with everybody. But suffice it to say right now, that this rig is the most expensive one I've ever thought about and put together. The blades alone, shown in this design are premium, silver plated blades built by Lakeland Tackle, covered by Tommy Harris's holographic designs stickers and spray painted with a coat of clear by Tommy, and goes for about .50 each at dealers cost. But after much testing with other blade types, they are part of an intricate design that only works when put together with the other special components I'm using. Ya, I know, what the hell is he talking about and will this thing catch walleyes? That part of course I don't know or will know till next summer. Just trust me, I'll lay out all the building plans, all the components used and the lures secrets when I get the rest done. The catching part will remain the only fly in the ointment for now. ![]() ![]() Edited by walleye express 11/7/2010 2:42 PM Attachments ---------------- ![]() ![]() ![]() | ||
