Cool question Dennis!
I would suggest the Eyecon series of rods from St. Croix! @ $100 per rod and really awesome quality for the price. Also - for @ $50 - the E-Z Lube System. For the angler who has everything - change lower unit lube or check it midway through the season, in less than a minute! Third times a charm? Beckman net!

Good luck!

That 7'6" MLXF Eyecon is on my hit list. Can't think of a better rod for working a 1/8oz jig across the face of a wing dam.

I was looking at the Eyecon rods also, but the In-fishermans Gear Guide says they run about $120.
Are the Eyecons as sensitive as the Avid series I have now or at least comparable, just wondering before I order some?

I think you can still squeeze about 4 Rapalas in for under $100, but that is before the prices go up this spring

Maybe some customs?

These are x-mas gift spoons I did for someone at work.

And the new Spring Valley Special Anniversary lure!

So Rich, tell us, is this one of those gifts that is better to give then to receive?
