I've owned both and the Smooth Moves are the way to go. The shockmasters didn't last a season and the customer service is lacking. Go with the Smooth Moves, Brett will do you right.

Smooth Moves by far, on my fourth season with SM and no issues.

Both meet the needs of the angler looking for a softer ride. I'd classify the Smooth Moves as 'industrial' and the Shock Master as 'general use'. Both are tough, well built, and do exactly what they advertise they will do.

I've had excellent performance out of the ShockMaster Pedestals.I put them through the test last season.Everybody that rode in my boat loved them.I run a 2003 619 Ranger with good results on Lake Erie, Bay de Nocs.We all know how rough those bodies of water can be.Afforable,Dependable Works for me.

Jon - I'll cast one more vote for Smooth Moves. Not only is the quality of the product tremendous, the incredible ride has allowed me to keep up with these younger "mavericks" !
