I have one, it is the best boat that I have owned. I sold my Triton 215 a few years ago, got out of tournament fishing, bought my Recon last year. Love it. Was not sure about it because they are so new to the industry, but will buy another one when it is time. Very impressed with how it rides, even in rough water. I was sold the second I got done with a test ride, ordered a new one the same day. Price tag was a little easier on the bank account too, not too mention easier to get my wife on board with the new purchase. I went to the factory and met the guys, and even made some custom changes to my boat. If not sure about it, see if you can go for a ride in one, then make up your mind.
Hope this helps.
good luck fishing

seems awfully coincidental that Ive seen these boats on walleye central for the last how many months for sale and every time the guys name selling the boat is dennis. It seems like the last post about how great these boats are is from the same guy trying to sell them, maybe Im wrong but sure seems fishy. I would definately look around and wait till you actually see some on the water with real owners in them. I would recommend a boat thats proven itself over the years and pay the difference for the good product

They make a dam good looking 19ft boat , and it seems to be a multi platform . Ive just never seen one on the water here in Ohio . I would love to see one up close or run one . Erie is the true test of all boats and ive yet to see one there . I WILL KEEP LOOKING!!!

I saw one of these last year driven by a cowboy named Cory. I was more impressed when it was on the trailer than on the water and anyone who tries to compare a "Recon" to a Triton needs to have their head examined !
I think Recon's are more of a shallow Bass hull and are not as nearly as sturdy as many brands.
I also wondered if "Dennis" is Dennis P the dealer like the other guest??
I would honestly recommend looking at Tuffy for the value and company that will be aound for a long time to come.
I do not own a Tuffy personally but it would be way ahead of a Recon when I shop next! I am a Walleye fisherman though and want something to last.

Not a recon owner, but have seen them, they look like a nice boat. Personally I think for about 25k less than a Triton I would fish out of it even if it wasn't as good in 5 ftrs. The guy that makes them has done fiberglass work on boat, that is where I have seen them. I have seen a few on the water, and I am sure there will be more. Don't trash it until you ride in it, then list your opinion. gno

Small builder, made in Wisconsin. I've looked them over, and would compare them to the Euroline boats Louie used to make. Seem to be well built. As with all new builders, it takes some time to settle out what they want to build and how the boats will be appointed inside and out.

First off I am a Recon owner. Just so that is clear.

Yes the Recon boat is somewhat new. But the people behind them are not new by anymeans. They have been building boats for over 20 years.
I ran mine all year last year. Well over a 100 days on the water in big water and small. I also ran it along side many different brands. I let anyone that wanted to take it for a ride and never had any negative feedback. At this time they dont have a ton of boats on the water but what do you expect with a new boat name. But as time goes buy and more people drive them and see what they cost you will see many many more. It also has some great featurs, rod locker holds 21 rods and is over 9' long, 99" beam on a 19' boat, smoth dry ride even in big water, very stable at rest, great holeshots, fast top end.
If you are looking at a new boat what does it hurt to get a test drive who knows you may be able to save a ton of money and still have a great boat. Thats what I did and I was sold after the test drive. Then I was able to get any extras I wanted because I saved a ton of money.

By the way one other thing that sold me was Recon is made by the same people that make many of the Ski team boats. Thier boats are the ones that you see at the ski shows that have up to 800 HP on them ( 3 250 HO's) If you think you are hard on a boat you should watch what they do to them. If they can build a boat that can take that kind of use, then the fishing boat they make will do just fine.

As far as the boats listed on W C they are probably from a dealer that has a Walleye pro on staff and he gets the same color boat each time he sells the one he is running. I also know that they have sold a few Recons on W C last year.

Why is it that everyone on this thread is a guest? Not sure why people have to hide behind the guest pen name?

Mr. Rozek,
It's not required to login to post here and never will be.
You are also a Recon Pro Staffer, correct?

Recon makes a nice ride. Look them over, look at the competition and pricing and make a decision.

Yes Steve I am also a Pro Staff for Recon. I was not trying to hide anything.

Because is a new boat name and we would like everyone to be able to take a ride I have no problem being contacted for test drives.

By the way if you are wanting to take a test drive in OH I will be in KY in a few weeks and could maybe make a detour so that can happen. Get in touch with me and i will see what I can do. I will also be in OH to do some prefishing for the PMTT that will be there in the fall.
