Location: Berlin Wi | Any ideas for how to reduce the friction on the bunks to aid in pulling the boat up that last few inches. I have used silicone spray. Any better ideas? |

| I've found that wetting the ENTIRE buck beforehand helps ALOT ! Have the person backing the trailer in, back far enough to submerge the bunks - then pull ahead to the correct depth to drive the boat on the trailer. Works for Me - My boat is a PITA to crank that last little bit if the bunk is left dry. Hope this helps, C-man. |

| A good coating of silicone spray works for me, couple times a year |

Location: Waukesha Wisconsin | I agree with C man totally. I also observe that most people do not back in far enough. Or refuse to back up further after the boat is aligned. |

Location: Manitowoc WI | One thing that helps me is maintaining a good layer of protective marine wax on the bottom of my boat. Knowing your trailers sweet spot so u can drive the hook to the bumper also helps..
Personally i wouldnt want the bunks to slick, i like to drive the boat up and pull the boat out without hooking it. |
