With the new year just around the corner, it's time for some of us to start scheduling our vacations. Due to Wisconsin DNR regulations prohibiting tournaments to be held on opening weekend of the fishing season, this year's Fox River Spring Walleye Classic has been moved to the following Saturday, May 14th. Please set up your schedule so we can all get together once again and enjoy a day on the water!

I'm planning on dropping them at the post office tomorrow. Shortly after that I will post a down loadable format here on Walleye First. Keep in mind that the first entries to be accepted will need to be postmarked March 16th. I will hold off selecting boat numbers for a week to allow time for all the entries to arrive and sort them by postmark. This should give everyone an even chance, whether you are sending it from Green Bay or Loveland, OH (that was for you Wade!).

This should work! Attached is a copy of the entry blank. Those of you that have fished the tournament in the past couple of years will be receiving a copy in the mail in the next day or two.

Am I reading the entry correctly??? "Entries will be accepted, BY POSTMARK, beginning on Wednesday, March 16th"
Does that mean entries you receive that are post marked before march 16th will be held until the end or not allowed? In other words I need to drop it in the mail tomorrow, but not before that? Or does that mean I could have already mailed it and you will sort them by post mark on the 16th? Not trying to be a smart A$$..... just making sure by holding it until now I did not mess up.

It says "Entries will be accepted beginning on Wednesday March 16th" on the entry form so I'm sure your doing it correctly. I've always dropped ours in the the mail on the postmark date and will be doing so tomorrow again.

Finfanatic,
Drop it in the mail today and you will be in good shape. We are looking forward to receiving all the entries and posting team numbers in about a weeks time period.

There are currently 93 teams registered to fish the tournament. I'm going to hold out assigning boat numbers until Wednesday just to make sure all the entries arrive and I properly sort them by postmark. I should have the boat numbers posted here on Wednesday evening.

I have attached a list containing the teams and boat numbers for this year's tournament. We still have room for a couple more teams and I'm sure it will fill up. We're looking forward to seeing everyone on May 14th.

Gordon,

You are team #96. Check the posting marked "Boat Numbers" a little farther down the list and the complete list of teams is attached.

Now that we know how many teams are entered, has it been decided how the price money will be divided?

Last year first prize was $3000 and we paid down to 13th place which was $100. The tournament is 100% payback but we have to pay expenses such as postage, printing, trophies, door prizes, etc. before we come up with a total purse to divide up. I would assume it will be very similar to last years purse.
