Member Posts: 265 Location: Lincolnshire, IL | I have one. What would you like to know? Mine has a 150 opti, avgs. 47 mph, have seen 51 mph but that was a rare occurence..out of the hole quickly. Rides fine for an 18-1/2 boat. Very similar to the 186 Lund and 1880 Skeeters, and the new Skeeter that is coming out. I have had it on Erie and Green Bay as well as inland lakes and reservoirs. I really like the wide open area in the back for trolling. I wish it had jumpseats for my kids. Installed a boarding ladder and water ski/tube behind it on occasion. Large front deck if casting for muskies is your thing. Just a really nice 18-1/2 boat....

New User Posts: 4 | Does the back deck seem small for a guy to be casting for muskies? It looks do-able but just wish they made it another 6 inches wider. What are your thoughts? Anyone here have a 175 HP engine on an 1860? Edited by The Dogger 6/9/2011 6:26 PM

Member Posts: 265 Location: Lincolnshire, IL | I think the back deck is fine for casting...but I'm not usually back there. If you wanted more space back there, have MODOG build you a rod rack...I use mine more than I thought I ever would, trolling rods, musky rods, slip bobber rods, retying, etc. Edited by Wisconsin Wade 6/10/2011 6:55 AM Attachments ---------------- ![]()

Running a 150 Yamaha on mine (reata), has been a great boat with no significant issues. Average speed is around 46 have seen 49 a couple of times with very light weight but fully load 46 seems to be the mark.

New User Posts: 4 | Well I guess what Im really looking to hear is the performance difference between the a 150 and 175. The dealer told me its only 3-4 mph top end difference and it seems like alot to pay for only that little improvement. I was hoping it was worth it or that the heavy load/mid range/holeshot performance was significantly better with the 175. Any input in general on the 175 vs 150 on any around that size would be appreciated, thanks

I have the 1850 with a 150 ProXS. I would think 3-4 MPH increase from 150 to 175 is a little high. I would think 1-2 maybe closer. Either the 150 or 175 will perform great on this hull.
