Team Rick Byson and Galen Bremmer Crush the MMWS May 12th event with a staggering 24.37#'s of Pool 8&9 walleyes blowing away the field by over four pounds!

The teams four fish limit netted them $650 of Mississippi River gold. Rick and Galen used a mix of live bait rigging and jig combinations in slack water eddys. Team Gary Beck and Mark Boardman also brought in a solid limit of 19.82#'s including a pig 8.13 female netting them a total winnings of $610. They elected to fish Pool 9 and pitched jigs to wrangle up a solid limit. The teams were faced with slightly elevated pool heights and a cold front to make for some challenging angling.

A special thanks to the people and businesses of Genoa and adjacent towns for their hospitality during the event.

Our next and final stop will be on the challenging Pools of 6&7 out of Trempealeau, Wisconsin on September 11th. Spots still remain so we hope to see more teams compete for our last stop of the 2011 season.
