Let me explain. Brother Dave and I hit the bay this morning. Calm winds on shore, 3 foot rollers coming in off Huron, with the usual chop in-between on the bay. Headed to a spot just South of the end of the crib. Started in 13FOW. I was going to run all 1/4 tots with 1/4 crawler kicker hooked on the front. Dave was going all meat, bouncers and blades. My first rod out was the ever popular (and what I call) Green Pirate. Silver/Green Scale/Red Bill. I sent it back 50 feet. Had just all 3 out and Green P gets a hit. Nice 19 incher. 20 minutes later a 21 incher same rod. 20 minutes later 5 pound smallie, same rod. Long story short 9 walleyes 6 keepers all on my same rod. Dave has nothing and is pissed. Oh, he has changed over to cranks by now, but still nothing. 1 hour gose by and no more fish. It is now 11:00am and the bite (in my opinion) is over on the crib. Even though I'm beat up slightly from the waves and the work after my long absense from fishing, Dave will not go in till he gets something. We finally go in at 12:32pm when he catches a 12 incher on a 1/4 ounce tot. Now my leg/knee is killing me. Not hurt but sore. I kept my 5 and gave Dave 1 just so he'd have a mess to clean up.
