Man 'O man. They caught this Ohio State football player on TV trying to intentionally choke the life out of Jim Sorgi the Wisconsin Quarterback.
Thought the authorities here in the state would have something to say about this but looks like this Reynolds kid is getting away with it with just a one game suspension.
Hard to believe... |

Location: Rhinelander | Rick,
I was watching the game and saw the entire close-up playback. It was absolutley clear what the kid was trying to do, and the announcers and the crowd picked up on it pronto. I was amazed the guy was still playing after he put the Wisconsin quarterback on the sidelines with what was an obvious after- the- play physical attack.
This isn't Pro ball, where attitudes run a bit more towards anything goes. This is College ball, and the guy should have been removed from the roster, permanently. See what happens if a Colege Pitcher INTENTIONALLY fastball 'beans' a batter. He is out, for good.
Sweet justice the Wisconsin back up quarterback had the secondary for lunch. |

| The coach should be fined or repremanded too for letting the player continue to play in the game. It was obvious what happened, the OSU coach had to know what all the fuss was about. How about the officials, where was the flag?? Also, if you watched closely you would have seen the same player trying to pick a fight on the last kneel down play of the game. A one game suspension isn't enough IMHO. |
