Member Posts: 34 | The final Take-Off of the 2011 FLW Walleye Tour season took place without a hitch this morning. Conditions are fair and mild, much like the past three days of the event. The Top 10 anglers on a steady bite should find the same fish in the same areas, depending on whether or not they have been fished out or not is a different story. "My bite has been really consistent," says National Guard Pro and 3rd place sitter, Bill Shimota. "I have been hand lining and have been contacting lots of fish, so I expect that same bite to maintain its course again today. If I can get a couple of big fish I will be in contention to win this thing. It is going to be a shoot out this afternoon!" With the filed narrowed down to the top 10 anglers, competition on some of the spots will be far less, but it might be too late already for a couple spots. The Missouri River Cluster has been hit hard all week and the number of good fish is just not where it used to be, but expect a few anglers to at least check it out this morning. "I am as fired up as I have ever been for a final day of fishing," says Ranger/Evinrude Pro, Tommy Skarlis. "I have been extremely blessed this year and I am hoping I have what it takes to finish strong and take home the first place trophy. I will be checking in with a couple of my top producing spots, but with the dropping river levels, the fish are becoming more concentrated on traditional structure and I hope to find my winning bag of fish in spots like that." This final day of the championship involves just the pros by themselves in the boat with their camera men. This will only add to the excitement, but limit the amount of lines they can have out, not to mention no net man... This is Walleye Excitement at its finest! The weigh-ins will be held at 5 PM in downtown Bismarck at the Bismarck Civic Center. Stay Tuned for more updates this evening.
