| Team Tom Brye & Tom Beck WIN MMWS Pools 6&7 in Trempealeau with a 7.18# limit of hard fought for walleyes netting them a $560 payday. Team Dave Lester & Joseph Williams scrounged up a solid 3.33# eye for Big Fish honors taking home $160. 2011 was another great season for MMWS. We are looking forward to the 2012 season complete with four qualifying events and a season Championship on Lake Pepin. E-mail me, [email protected], for our new schedule!

Teams dedicated a good share of their day Sunday fishing the complex variety of wingdams on Pools 6 and 7. Crankbaits and live bait rigs yielded the majority of the cagey walleyes. A couple teams had success fishing eddies directly below the Dam 6 Tailrace. A few resident fish already are staged there as the waters begin to cool on the Upper Mississippi River Pools 6&7. River flow has finally dropped to the mid 30,000 ft/sec thus scattering the biters up and down the system.
A special thanks goes out to all who fished and the friendly residents and businesses of Trempealeau, WI who were so inviting during our stay. I especially want to thank all the anglers who fished this past weekend and all of our events for 2011. We hope our upcoming 2012 season with lower entry fees, new exciting locations, Championship on Pools 4 (Lake Pepin) &5, and now as a contingent Cabelas NTC Trail will attact many new faces to join our tournament trail.
Tight lines... and have a safe and successful Fall hunting season!
