| I am having an issue with electrolysis on my Ranger 620.I did not have this problem until i put a new 101 Terrova on. I sent the Terrova back to Minnkota to be checked out and they sent it back and said it is fine. I went out this weekend on the water for 5 hours and had the graph unhooked to try to isolate the issue and i just run the Terrova and the probem is still there. If i run just the kicker or the big motor i dont have any issues. When i run the Terrova, the transducer screws get build up and i have build up on the Terrova motor head and prop nut and it attacks the anodes on the motors and the kicker power trim block. Any Ideas ? |

| Are your trolling motor batteries just hooked up to the trolling motor? No other grounds going anywhere? I had this happen when I tried to alleviate some interference on a old graph and I ran a ground wire between my starting battery and trolling motor battery, removed it and it went away.
Maybe a wire has rubbed thru and is grounded out on something?

| I think we figured out the problem.Who ever wired the boat had wired the kicker to one of the trolling motor battery's and it created an open circuit loop thru the kicker when the terrova was being used.We have re-wired the kicker to the starting battery where it should have been to begin with and i'll give it a try. Thanks for the info. |
