Member Posts: 2445 Location: Fremont, Wisconsin | The current picked up from the rain this past weekend. The height did not increase but the speed did. It is sitting at 36.1 degree farenheit today at the docks. Wont be long now. I am sure there will be shore line shell ice coming this week but then there will be a slight warm up. If a guy wanted to get one more crack at her, this weekend would surely be in his best interest. I dont know if you will make it the 10th and 11th, but its always possible. OH YA, there are fish to be caught. From Fremont down is where the most boats have been. I have been hunting for the last 2 month or so, did not fish, but should have.

Member Posts: 2445 Location: Fremont, Wisconsin | Today there was alot of ice on poygan. This is from what I hear, I did not see it. Most small lakes and such were frozen this morning. The wolf is still wide open and I suspect it will stay that way for awhile. Some some smashed by thermometer on the dock so I need to get a new one.

Member Posts: 2445 Location: Fremont, Wisconsin | Friday morning found the wolf river,...........with no ice. Yep, thought last night it might get a bit chunky, it did not!! I doubt it will tonight. There is a good little current that is going to fight it back a bit and this warm sun will play its part. I used a make shift guage this morn and found 34.4 temp. Its close. There was some bayous that showed ice and the ponds along the highway are tight. Pages is frozen and poygan was shelled up all the way to the canes on norweigen bay. I will be off and fishing this weekend. It may be the last time till ice.

Member Posts: 580 Location: Green Bay, WI | Made it out there on Saturday afternoon. The report I got was slow and that proved to be true, just a couple. One between the bridges in Fremont and one in Orihula. All the boats I saw came from down river of Orihula. It appears I should have gotten an earlier start and went down river farther.

Member Posts: 2445 Location: Fremont, Wisconsin | River still wide open this morning. There is no shore line shell ice at all. No thermometer yet, but had 36 on graph on saturday. Off on wednesday and might find time to get out or muzzleload a deer.

Member Posts: 2445 Location: Fremont, Wisconsin | I find the best walleye to be pre breaded and in your freezer. Lot less work involved, just as rewarding.
