Hi all Im trying to get my hands on a Bracket Pro but to no avail I can not seem to find one. The casting on my kicker tilt lock is failing and it was recommended to me to a buddy that had one.

Not his full time gig, so you may have to be patient. The website has 2012 copyrights on it, so looks to be current. Maybe wait for him to respond tonight, or try calling tonight?

Panther lift?
Or sell what you got and get a prokicker?

I have a 2002 15 hp Merc. When I bought the boat, the older gentleman I bought it from had a 1x1 peice of hardwood in the pivot he never used the tilt lock lever said that it was a know Merc. flaw. Well needless to say I didnt like the looks of it I thought it looked chinsy. But you know what they say oldtimers have been around the block a little, and he was right!!!

As for waiting for Y-not to get ahold of me I called twice last week and left an email this weekend Im begining to think that due to the fact that almost every kicker now a days come with trim tilt he may not be in buisness anymore? I will keep my fingers crossed though and just hope he is on vacation.

I did get a Merc. part number to replace the peice of casting that is broke ($202) so that will have to be done just dont want it to fail again in the future. As far as upgrading to a Pro kicker my boat will more than likely go up for sale next spring I want to upgrade to the 1900 WX or 1990WX. We will see though want to take one or both for a ride first, the wife really likes the jump seat feature for when we have the kids with us instead of having to stow 2 pedestals when we start trolling it takes up her layout space in the bow when they are up there.

It's not a Merc flaw. It's not designed top hold the motor up while under power from the big motor or when traveling on the highway. That's why Merc and Yamaha have the kickers designed for this.
