Location: Rhinelander | The weather did indeed change today as a front moved through during the night. Winds did a 180, and are forecast to be light today. All the Pros we talked to this morning were sure the bite would shift some, but that the fish would go and good weights will come to the scales. The winds are set to the NE at 6 to 10, so at least there should be some light chop. There was still some storm activity well off to the South during the launch. We didn't interview anyone who intends to change the game plan from Day One. It's going to be a shootout. Chad Schilling said he's catching so many big fish it's hard to leave the water, and he's enjoyed the fishing here so much he was always the last boat to the ramp during prefish. He was cautiously optimistic his bite will hold. We didn't see Ryan this morning; the launch is several miles from the take off point and it's difficult to find everyone with 4 ramps working and once launched, many stay on the water until take off. The weigh in will begin at about 3 PM Eastern, watch for a full report very soon after. WalleyeFIRST Tournament coverage is brought to you by Lund Boats and Mercury Outboards. Location: Rhinelander | Korey Sprengel brought in the heaviest bag of the tournament at 28.06 to take the day two lead at 53.13. He has a bit better than a 2 pound lead over Ryan Dempsey, and just 3.5 pounds over third place Ross Grothe. The bite was definitely on today, and the shifting in the leaderboard shows it, especially in the top thirty. Fourth place is held by Pro Danny Pluatz, who was in at the docks early with a 26.09 pound basket. FLW Walleye Tour Angler Of the Year Lund/Mercury Pro Chad Schilling is in 5th place, 4 pounds 10 out of first. Chad smashed his way to the AOY win without really even thinking he had a real chance at the trophy, even though statistically, there was a near 5 way tie after yesterday. The Reel Shot Pro John Schneider is in 6th, Nick Schertz in seventh, Dusty Minke in 8th, Bill Shimota in 9th, and Derek Parker rounds out cut to the the final ten for tomorrow. The top ten will leave the docks out of Escanaba tomorrow morning at 7 AM. WalleyeFIRST coverage of the FLW Walleye Tour is brought to you by Lund Boats and Mercury Outboards. Chad is one of the best.... He has worked so hard to achieve this title and I hope you will send the info to all of the South Dakota news media. He deserves recognition for reaching a childhood goal. He is a remarkable person as well as one of the best fishermen you will ever meet. Thanks for the chance to voice may thoughts. I proudly say I am his mother.

Location: Rhinelander | Mr. Schilling is one of the most friendly and approachable anglers ever to fish walleye tournaments. He is a credit to the sport, and a credit to your fine State and superb little town of Akaska. Thanks for stopping by WalleyeFIRST!
