Location: Rhinelander | Strong gusts from the North/Northwest will limit the teams to the waters they can access out of concern for safety. The bite was reported to be tough, but the teams were optimistic they could put walleyes in the net today. Winds are forecast to peak at gusts of 25 to 27, and a shower is possible with highs in the 50's. The weigh in will begin at about 2 PM at the Metro landing in Green Bay. Location: Rhinelander | The winds did indeed kick up the Bay today, making it tough going on an already tough bite, but the JJ Keller Fishing Team appeared not to notice as John Schneider and Bill Bobber took first, Brian Keller and Larry Eaton took second, and Jim Keller and Travis Dittmann took fourth. In third was Henriksen and Zollar. Top weight was 10.44, and second was 10.2. John and Bill caught their fish pulling Berkely Ficker Shad crankbaits. John mentioned that he had not caught a walleye in 4 days of prefish, and that Bill put all the fish in the boat today. The win netted the Team a check for $4000.00 plus contingencies from Lindahl LLC worth free entry into the 2013 MWS trail and an additional $500 Ranger boat owner award. The MWS awards banquet is at 7 PM tonight.
