| Ive seen alot of boats with really high rod holder extensions on them..What kind are they and where do you buy them. I currently run ram holders they have about 6 to 8 inch extensions but would like to get some higher extensions |

| Check out Burts Custom Tackle they seem to be pretty popular with big water trollers. |

| I have RAM rod holders as well and made my own extensions. Pick up a piece of 1" aluminum pipe (I got mine from Fleet Farm) and cut it to the length you desire (i went 14"). Now the leap of faith....cut the RAM holder in half at the center of the existing extension. I then used a belt sander to carefully take away enough material on the extensions to snugly fit into the 1" pipe. Insert each half of the rod holder into opposite ends of the pipe, install them back on the boat to ensure proper alignment, and secure the pipe to the rod holder on each end with a small stainless screw.
Only took an hour or so and $12 in parts for the pair. Used them out on the bay and they held up fine even with the cats. |

| 8" extension for Ram rod holders. I think they just released them in the last month or so.
