Member Posts: 650 | you guys got walleye tourneys less than XXXX miles from your house?? Wow!! Just thought I'd throw that in there while Steve stares at his phone... TV coverage mentioned... what about live weigh-ins on the net?? Fishing tourneys on TV overrated...

Member Posts: 25 Location: La Salle, CO | Not sure if this is what is being hinted at, but any word from Lund on contingencies for this circuit? I'd love to run my Mercury Verado powered Lund 208 Pro V GL due to performance and fishability, but need to weigh my options with the Ranger/Evinrude being a clear leader on the additional payout potential at the NWT. Thanks

Member Posts: 18 | Eric, The New Nitro ZV21 is not only quite a bit less expensive, but excels in gas capacity, floor space, storage, size, rough water running capability, and in most cases speed. Their tournament rewards program is one of the best in the business. It's not finalized totally for 2013 yet, but there is a really good chance that if you are running up to a 300 Verado, and win one of these events that you could get another $5000 from Nitro. Many other circuits qualify for the Tournament Rewards program also with varying incentives. When you take into consideration initial cost, performance, and Tournament Cash, it's a clear choice.

Member Posts: 40 | KHedquist - 11/2/2012 9:11 PM It sounds good, but it appears to follow the same business model kind of an exclusive club for particular sponsors. Its does sound better than the FLW that only allowed their sponsors to be promoted but they paid the bills, it sounds like you wont be excluded for having brand x on. With the current economy I wonder if they will have any more anglers than they had before? Good luck, like Steve says it fills the void. The only reason that it seems like "an exclusive club for particular sponsors" is that no one else has ponied up any other contingency money. Don't you think that the CNWT would welcome sponsor dollars from Tuffy, Skeeter, Yamaha, or anyone else? The way I see it, at least SOMEONE stepped up. No, I don't own a Ranger, I do own a Stratos, but unfortunately it is 4 years old and excludes me from contingency money. Will that stop me from fishing given an opportunity to do so? Not at all. If enough Tuffy, Skeeter or Yamaha owners chirped loud enough to the manufacturers, if enough of them said they might have to consider switching brands if sponsorship isn't in the future, don't you think that it might make some of these companies rethink their options? I guess that my point is don't be a hater on the new circuit and it's respective sponsors just because yours didn't step up to the plate. They had every opportunity to do so..... and still do. Personally, I'm just glad that there is still a professional walleye circuit to follow. Edited by walleyedmike 11/29/2012 9:32 AM

Member Posts: 25 Location: La Salle, CO | Thanks Gary. I'll have to give that some consideration. I think we are getting a Bass Pro Shops in Loveland Colorado in a year too so that would put a dealer pretty close to me. Although Denver is only about 60 miles anyway. Really been liking the vids you guys are doing on the boat too.

Location: Rhinelander | What the heck, I'll toss a rumor out there. AIM looks to be working hard to be in for a couple 2013 events. I hope. This Sport needs two circuits.

Location: Rhinelander | Haven't had a request for anything for the AIM website since August. We can't add or change anything there without a formal request for a change or addition from AIM. I'm sure we'll get something from them before too awful long.

Member Posts: 25 Location: La Salle, CO | Looks like Mercury will upgrade the motor to 250 hp on the contengencies. Hopefully that can be a Verado and that would launch the Ranger 1860 Angler prize into the stratosphere! LOL

The contingency is $1,000 if you win and own a 2011 or newer Merc.
