On behalf of his family, TFM Promotions, and Midwest Walleye Series, we wish to notify the sportsman community that Jim Coon, the president of TFM Promotions, is in grave health.

Shortly after arriving at a rehabilitation facility on May 17th, Jim began suffering extreme breathing difficulties. The lack of sufficient oxygen ultimately resulted in his heart stopping. Although efforts to restart his heart were successful, he remains in a comatose state.

We ask for your prayers and thoughts during this difficult time. Despite the unfortunate condition of Jim, TFM remains dedicated to providing enjoyable quality competitions, continuing the tradition that Jim established.

What terrible news. My heart goes out to his family and friends. He is a good friend and asset to the fishing community.

I just heard Jim did not make it. He was a good man and I appreciated the opportunity he gave me and so many others. Prayers for the family.

Jim ran a top notch program with the MWS and everything he did for the Walleye tourney community. My thoughts and prayers to the family.

I have known Jim for many years and will miss him greatly. He always took the time to talk to me when I kept bombarding him with questions on how to run a successfull business. He would always say..you see where I'm going with this Stinger. lol Very smart man and a good friend. Will miss you bud, but because of all the great memories I had with the MWS you will always be ckose at hand. You see where Im going with this Jim?

Jim will be missed by many. I'm glad I was able to get to know him. Prayers for his family. The MWS tournaments will be different without him.
