I'm planning a trip to LOTW next June. We will be fishing out of our own smaller boats (17 ft). Do you want to be at a resort closer to the Rainy River to get the walleyes after they spawn or doesn't it really matter by the middle of June, any south shore location would do. Any help is appreciated and / or recommendations on resorts. Thanks

We were up there during that time, and walleyes were pretty much everywhere. Plenty of fish in the river if it's windy. Take a look at this website to help you select a resort:

I was a member of a group that went up to LOTW every June for about twenty years. You should be on the post spawn bite by the second week of June depending on ice out etc. We rented houseboats out of Reed Narrows and fished north of the peninsula. If you want more info on the houseboats we used go to http://lowhouseboats.com If you have any questions I would be happy to answer them.
