Location: Rhinelander | The field left this morning in light rain and light NW winds, according to most we talked to today absolutely perfect conditions for the tough bite on the Bays. Some forecasts call for gusty winds this afternoon, others only up to the low teens, but no one seemed to be concerned about the wind at all, and many were hoping for some. Techniques are standard Bay de Noc, spinners and cranks, with most of the teams talking spinners this morning. It's still anyone's game with two days left. The bite has been so tough general consensus is there will be quite a bit of movement at the top of the leaderboard this afternoon. We'll see... Location: Rhinelander | It took two good days to make the top 4 today, but 5th and 6th were another story. Kobriger and Zwick had 1801 yesterday, and 17-11 today to take the lead with 35-12...and were short a fish both days. Stack and Dahl had 16 and change both days to take over second just 3 pounds back. Lantzy and Vandemark took over third on the virtue of 4 really big fish, weighing in a 9 and a 7 today and close to that yesterday. Van Dyke and Carlson popped 18 plus today to move into 4th, and Skarlis and Lahr hold 5th slipping back due to today's weight of 6-10, but are 'loaded for bear' tomorrow. Team of the year Sprengel and Navis made a dramatic move with the biggest basket of the tournament at 21-04 climbing all the way from 27th to 6th. It's going to be a shootout tomorrow. Winds look OK at NW up to 9, and skies will be cloudy with a few showers which should help the bite. Attachments ---------------- ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ||
