Member Posts: 2445 Location: Fremont, Wisconsin | Since it is just you and me on here, hahahaha everyone else is not watching, let me tell ya what is happening right now on the river. The walleye never did get funneled out of the river. They have been continuously filtering down. They have been using wood on flats to feed around and deep holes. The holes can be fished with a 1/4 oz down to about 20ft on fireline, then you need to be 3/8th. Keep contact and use leeches and 1/2 crawlers. Fan casting flats with cranks has been working as well. The bluegill have been good on the back bays on the weedlines. Hope that helps

Member Posts: 35 | Opps, I think I set you up for that one. I didn't get the chance to fish the river during the holiday week, but I'm aiming for fishing it in the next couple of weeks. I hope the current sticks around for when that time comes. jtech

Member Posts: 2445 Location: Fremont, Wisconsin | Believe it or not, the river is actually in good shape. Not sure when the corp of engineers schedule draw down dates are, but that will be the next factor.
