New User Posts: 1 | I'm a New Owner of a Rebel 1650 XL Sport. Just picked it up last week. This is my first boat so I'm new to all the extra stuff I need to get. I have ordered a Lowrance 12 inch HDS Gen 2 for my boat. I want to mount it to the drivers console replacing the X4 the boat came with. What mount do I need to purchase that will fit in this area. Will the RAM D-111U. Also I'm looking to mount 3 Rod Holders on each side of my boat. I troll for small mouth, Atlantic Salmon, Lakers, ETC. What Rod Holders would you suggest for my boat and what Sport Track mounts? Also where do I purchase the Sport Track Rod Holder mounts as Gander Mountain didn't have and said to talk to my dealer. Any suggestions would greatly help me out. Thanks in advance for responding. Sincerely

Member Posts: 2680 Location: Essexville, MI./Saginaw Bay. | Hawkeye. Suggesting any particular product type/size/configuration to do the jobs you described, without looking at the particular layout/shape/design of your boat would be un-wise. My boat dealer offered to rig my new boat with holders and tracks, but I declined. I had an idea about what I wanted and where I wanted it. All these items are very expensive these days. I just paid $700.00 for 8 adjustable rod holders and 2 36" Rod Holder Tracks for my new boat. But I measured twice and had my lay-out plan before ordering. If the boat dealer doesn't have any suggestions or similar boats rigged that you can look at first, maybe a trip to the local fishing marina to get an idea would be the best thing for you to do. Ask a few questions (away from the ramp) in the tie-down area, about the products functions, dependability and the why's and where. Most fishermen will ablige with honest answers. Doing it right the first time, with the right equipment, will save you some money and some re-riging hassles. Good luck bud. Edited by walleye express 6/19/2014 8:56 AM

Member Posts: 14 | Can you take picture of your boat, especially the area's where you want to put a rod holder mounting system? Maybe some dimensions pertaining to width and length of the area where your planning on mounting it as well. It would certainly help us help you if you can do that.
