Location: Essexville, MI./Saginaw Bay. | Recite it like "The Night before Christmas"
Twas the night before Christmas on Saginaw Bay. But something seemed to be missing in a weird sort of way.
Instead of a white-out and the creaking of ice. Wind blown Waves lapped the shorelines, it was just to figleaf nice.
I had readied my gear for falls changing in time. To the hardening of water and the tools made by design.
My Auger, my Shanty, my heater and small spud. The 2-up snowmobile with bucket carriers, wider track and new studs.
All things were cleaned and ready to go. But Old man winter was becoming a no-show.
But if Jesus could turn water to wine and feed thousands with 3 fish. I could surely keep the boat out and partake of this dish.
With much renewed interest and without winters fear. I Hooked up the boat and Reinstalled trolling gear.
Ya see, It's not so much about the seasons of the fish that we crave. It's about being alive and enjoying Gods gifts, until we all see the grave.
Merry Christmas. |
