I just started fishing the Illinois Prairieland this past fall. It is a lot of fun, good group of fisherman. The Governor's Cup is run by the same group of organizers, just a standalone 2 day event.
I agree with Larry that fishing it would HELP set you up for the MWC. WM

Rick,
We have formatted this a little differnt over the past 3 years. As Larry had mentioned we split the field in half. The tournament is scheduled for the first 120 teams that resgister. Teams 1-60 will launch, be inspected and weigh in at Allen Park, Ottawa, Illinois on Sat. Teams 61-120 will do the same at Starved Rock State park. On day 2 we flip flop the flights.
For the teams fishing the Ottawa pool the boundaries are Upstream of Starved Rock Dam to the Marsilles dam to the Dayton Dam. For the lower pool from the downstream side of the Starved Rock Dam to the Henry Bridge. You must stay in your pool no locking. Kind of creates a little differnt stratgey hey? All the rules an applications can be found at www.prairielandeyes.com This tournament is a qualifing tournament for the RCL Championship. Mike Gibson and Al Schrofer from Ind. won last year and will be going to Moline this Fall. if I can be of anymore help let me know.
Thanks Bob
