I will get a birds eye report one the ice flow conditions. That is correct, I stopped for a quick chat yesterday on my way ice fishing, there were a few successful boats already - the best got 4 keepers out of lots of numbers! Do not know how the White/SmM Bass and Northern were, but Eyes and Saugers were OK. There is still fishable ice under Mexicali Rose, but some spots are mushy 2-3"... So I would stay off. Levels are a bit up, sand bar in the Mouth of Dell Creek are covered. I would also try from shore or wading(pls NEOPRENE!!! ;)) Livebait and Good Luck. p.s. For all I know Big Dave has't had clients out yet(too busy with seminars...;)) Lyubo pic is last years Edited by Lyubaka 2/16/2004 2:26 PM

Location: Rhinelander | The next few days sound perfect for bank fishing, warm and no nasty stuff until the weekend. If you head out there, let us know how you do!

Member Posts: 540 Location: Milw, WI | I coached him to the spot on the cell phone this evening and if he hits it tomarrow he will get them. Just wish I was up there with you buddy. The fish are deeper at this time of year you need to be fishing the holes. And testing your light bite detecting ability, they will be stacked in the small spots all winter, all ways are. Lots of numbers to be had, good releases a must, so get them in the mouth and all will be well.

Well the wind this morning stopped me hrom heading out shore fishing, most of the riverbanks are easily accessible where snowmobilers have been before us. But did find the night bite ok last night thanx to Rich - gotta give it to him his implant GPS works even off-line over the cellphone ![]() Got out quite late and after a few clean steals my buddy's son's (Tom) nose started running like The Mississippi so we called it a night and as it turned out both my poles were heavy with eyes on them. The funniest part was that last male 11-12"er had swallowed the 5" shiner almost halfway ![]() ![]() All in all a fun time, a nice walk in the quiet February cold - it was clear last night and breeze was really mild (slow enough to shoot it;)) There were "bright ideas" of sorts: "Since my Miranda Camera can take pix of the Moon why do I not send them to NASA to blow-out and save their bacon on something better proof" LOL Frank is a funny fellow. I guess the best bet these days(unless you swear by twistertails) would be fatheads and, if you are optimistic Medium shiners!? Thanx again, Rich. Hope you can make it out soon! Member Posts: 157 Location: YouTube.com/LyubakaVideo Instagram @LyubakaVideo | Made it out this morning finally. Guys in boats did OK. Fatheads worked the deal and no shiners. Tried waxies and leafworms for panfish too. All in all the closest I got to a keeper was 1/2" under ![]() Was fun as always to try jigging and luring the eyes to bite - as you see colours on the males are amazing! Donated the customary amount of hooks and splitshots to the metal enrichment fund of the Wisconsin River. Good Luck To All And Let The Good Times Roll Lyubo p.s. wasn't very nice seeing guys in boats squeezing each other like they were, but it is only going to get worse in the development of season so I guess I'd better adjust ![]() Attachments ---------------- ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
