Last year it was right around March 20 that the ice went out on the river up in the Shiocton area. This year could be very scary for folks that live on the river...With water already pushing flood stages, the worst has yet to come. Snow depths up north are extreme. Some snow banks are pushing 10' with snow depths all over at 30" plus. That means a lot of water is going to be coming down. If I remember almost 3000 square miles drain into the wolf river. It all has to pass through our area and it may no be nice. Good for the eyes but bad for the home owners and businesses. Lets hope it all doesnt melt all at once.
