I need to purchase a scale for some local walleye tournament. New or used. Scale will be used for weighing baskets at tournament weigh-ins. Digital it a MUST.

You would be better off with a quality scale that can be calibrated. Chatillon scales are one the best ones, but it is not digital. I have seen digital scales off as much as 1-2lbs.

I run a small tourney once a year and rent a scale from a local dealer in Neenah. The guy charges us 20 bucks I think. These things are pretty costly. You might want to check out rentals.

Dale,
Could you post some info on where you rent the scale from? I might be setting something up this year.

Check out Chatillon scales. They have digital ones and spring one and can be certified(at least the spring one can). http://www.chatillon-scales.com/index.html Check out their website as they have a lot to choose from. Here is the digital one that may work for you: http://www.chatillon-scales.com/products/dhb.html or not...I just looked at the price...

The Scale Shop Inc. 1120 Congress St. Neenah 920-725-1595.
I think he charges 25 bucks for 1 day. Tell him the Paynes Point guy referred you.
