Member Posts: 874 Location: Neenah, WI | Just in case you didn't know- Include info on where you caught it and the length. Tag returns are valuable, especially for the sauger. I've heard of more being caught this year. Things may be looking up.

Member Posts: 1656 | Kendall's E-mail [email protected] As Dale stated provide info of where it was caught, length, and weight if you have the data, also include your address. They will probably send ya a letter stating when and where it was tagged.

Member Posts: 377 Location: Neenah Wi | You don't have to keep a fish to read the tag number.A guy at work took the tag out and then let the fish go.I just don't know about some people. If you do catch a tagged fish just record the number and leave the tag in.

Member Posts: 3899 | I caught two eyes on Green bay last weekend. One was from MI, and the other had the plastic tag in it from WI. I did not record the WI fish, as it was during the tourney. Last year, I caught several muskies on Green Bay that were tagged. After not being able to remember the numbers, and never seeming to have a pen and paper in the boat, I realized that my digital camera has video mode. After that, all I did was clean the tag off, and read the numbers while the camera was in video mode. Worked great! Got home, and listened to the movie, and was able to get the info to the DNR.
